You can prepay the adoption fee of $80 and this will include spay/neuter, shots, having dewormer(if needed)and HW test. If the dog is already altered at intake, the adoption fee is then $35.00 OR you can  place a rescue tag on him/her at rescue@garlandtx.gov and they will let you know if he/she gets in trouble.

******Frightened Chow-Corgi and Chow-Jindo******

  Looks like one may be a chow/Jindo. They are afraid!  Can anyone help?  We all know dogs that show behavior like this at shelters and are fine once out and loved. Please network as beyond urgent. See below. 

A1268772 – Chow Corgi – Needs placement by tomorrow at 7 pm.  Hides in back of the cage and growls.  Charges staff when they enter the cage for cleaning/feeding.  There is definitely some type of shorter breed mixed in.  These are the best photos I could get.

A1268876 – Has mammary mass, possibly tumor.  Needs placement with rescue now.  Will likely not
be extended due to medical issue and temperament.  Is not currently set for euthanasia, but could be at any time.

He's been at Clay County Animal Control for 4 months and is now on the URGENT/LAST CALL list. 

Tomorrow is euthanization day, and Sachmoe and others need out. Please go to Clay County Animal Control tomorrow. There are so many beautiful babies like Sachmoe in need

of immediate foster, adoption, rescue. I know if you go you will fall in

love. 

Heck....who can resist the handsome boy below. These dogs do not

deserve what life has thrown them. Please don't wait!
